Amy Winehouse and Duffy
may soon be battling it out
for a licence to thrill –
after both soul singers were
tipped by a Bond movie boss
to record the next 007
theme song,
WENN reports
May 22nd,
2009.
The pop stars were both
among the many names
rumoured to be singing for
2008′s Quantum Of Solace,
an honour Winehouse lost
out on after producer Mark
Ronson claimed she
“wasn’t ready” to head
into the studio.

Alicia Keys and White Stripes
frontman Jack White were
eventually picked to collaborate
on the main track.
Now Winehouse could be
given a chance to make up
for the missed opportunity as
producers begin to contemplate
the soundtrack for the 23rd
installment of the
secret agent franchise.

But the Rehab hitmaker
will face stiff competition
from Welsh star Duffy,
if producer Michael G Wilson
has his way.
Wilson says,
“I would love to get Duffy
to sing the next tune.
I think she is wonderful.
Amy Winehouse would
be good too.”
